I had a highschool boyfriend that had a scooter. It was so much fun riding around the city on that thing. Later in life, we took a cruise for our honeymoon (different man) and on one of the islands, rented a scooter to get to the other side and away from all the other cruise occupants. BEST THING we ever did…except we had to drive on the wrong side of the road (St. Maarten or St. Thomas- can’t recall) and it made us nervous. BUT, the island inhabitants were so NICE. As we got lost/confused, people would slow down and shout out directions knowing where we wanted to go. That wouldn’t have happened if we were in an automobile.
Yes, fun times!
