Foreign recipes, old recipes, funny recipes, they can all be a real pain in the you know what. The ingredients are not the problem now a days, a well stocked grocers can usually help you out. But the measurements can really rain on your parade.
Round my part of the woods we stick to the metric system and that make you "ounces and cups" people see red just as much as your bewildering way of sorting out the stuff makes me.
In my comprehensive collection of printed matter from the fifties some really nice recipes turns up. I thought I’d share some of these with you lot. But as I have all ready mentioned, in my kitchen the metric system rules as do they in my recipes.
