With A Floating Address

 
Grocer F. from Berlin have solved his summer residence problems. He has build the smartest, little bungalow on the deck of an old barge. It didn’t come all that cheap in the end, but it has its advantages. If you get tired of the view from the windows you just move to another place on the lake. Two rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, electric light and a telephone is among the conveniences, and right outside the living room windows a nice sundeck.

It is no wonder guests are lining up to visit this little summer paradise. If the family feels it is a little over the top, they start up the dingy and push their floating bungalow somewhere else, so they shan’t be that easy to find.

Two happy guests, Karin sounding the bell for departure and Liselotte has taken the helm. No problems being a barge housewife when one can live in surroundings like these. Nice with a bit of help in the kitchen when the house is full of people. Karin takes care of the coffee.

The anchor is up and H/B (stands for house boat) "Olga" is ready for a Sunday trip on Berliner Zee. Taking a look inside it is easy to understand that the F. family has a lot of guests. And right outside the living room door. Tempting waves for the guests to cool down on hot summer days.
