Terry Gibson is one of the millions of "night people" who seldom have a chance to enjoy the sunlight, and who consequently have to take advantage of every tiny moment of the daylight hours.
Terry is working two jobs and, although one is only part time, it does make it difficult for her to see. the sun often. Her main job is that of camera girl . in a large night club in Chicago, and from eight until noon, she is busy almost all the time posing for commercial photographers.
This ambitious gal is aiming for still another career and is studying at home for a degree in law. Terry feels that she can manage the preliminaries of the course at home and, meantime, she is putting money away to see her through law school later on. It is a tough schedule, and more than anything else, she misses the opportunity to exercise in the sun. So, if a spare ray of sunshine steals through her window while Terry’s awake, she’s there to soak it up.
Terry’s father was a small-town lawyer, and she loved and respected him tremendously, and feels that it was his influence that turned her thoughts to the practice of law. But there’s an independent streak in Terry that prohibited her from not earning her way through college.
Terry does manage two sessions each week at the ladies gymnasium and a once-a-week swim at the YWCA, and a trice-weekly sunbath, via a home sunlamp. She’d love to have time to bowl or take part in some sport, but for now shes willing to devote all her energies towards attaining that goal of a law degree and a license.
Miss Gibson hails from a small town in Nebraska, but wanted to follow her father and attend a law school in Chicago. This also offered her a wider – choice of jobs and, since she had also toyed with the . idea of becoming a model, she took the part-time job first. When it didn’t supply I quite the amount of work she hoped for, Terry applied for the night club job. Her lovely form and pretty face and happy personality caught the attention of the owner; and Terry has done her job so well that she is now assured of a steady position at the club, all during her years of attending school.
