By the time jean Smith’s day has ended, it is too late for her to have a cocktail at any of the night clubs or bars, for Jean is a stripper in one of Denver’s largest clubs. The last show actually ends a few minutes after drink are no longer sold, so Jean solves the problem by keeping a small stock of her favourite “relaxers” at her apartment. Like many performers, Jean find that the night life demands on her vitality for a performance often exhaust her to a point where it is difficult to sleep, out of sheer tiredness. This is when she likes a hot buttered rum or a good brandy.
This nightcap is her one and only drink, however, for Jean is too careful of her figure to take chances on alcohol perhaps ‘ adding weight. She wants to continue her dancing career, and since she has little chance to get outdoor exercise, she must watch her diet as well as trying to get enough sleep to maintain the high energy that her strenuous strip routines require.
Jean is from Florida, and has never become accustomed to the dry, cold climate of Colorado in the winter, so her free time’ is spent in activities of an indoor type. Jean is a music lover, and has a fine hi-fi record player, and a tremendous selection of jazz and popular tunes. She’s also a voracious reader, and between household tasks and her hobbies, it is not a real problem.
