You make this practical toolbox out of two small and one big box held together by 8 arms. You attach the arms to the boxes with standard screws for wood.
When you swing the handles outwards the small boxes moves sideways so you can get to the box beneth them.
Follow the measurments on the drawing to make sure the arms run smouthly.
From the Norwegian weekly magazine
"Norsk Ukeblad" – January 16th. 1954
Actually the length can be derived from the dimensions given. The handle is 38cm from 1cm thickness stock. That would make the overall length 36cm by the diagram. Certainly this could be easily adjusted to whatever length one wanted…
Thanks a lot Mike 🙂
There is a way to insert the picture into SketchUp and get the relative measurements.
Thanks for the tip, I’ll test that 🙂
Can you help me with more measurements and or address of the mag that had this toolbox plan? I subscribe to alot of woodworking sites online and in facebook, this looks like a great project. All I see is an end view W/measurements, I need the length too. Thanks, Lee
I’m afraid that the plans are from an old Norwegian family weekly magazine from way back in the fifties and that that is the only drawing I got. The fact that there are no exact length measurement is probably because you can choose that accordig to what you plan to have in the toolbox
